Just got call from Pinebelt wanting to lease small amt of acreage for $200/acre, 4 yrs w/4yr renewal @$200 per acre...they would not say if they were looking at oil or gas...is this a typical offer?

That has been typical in the area. What was the percentage?
They offered 20%.....the guy indicated that Pinebelt is trying to tie up as much of the Parish as possible ...do you know what they are going for?
The Brown Dense is what I have been told.
Does the Brown Dense formation extend all across the stateline area?
I would trust Pinebelt. I signed with them. I don't totally know what they are looking for, but I know it is a new thing. This is a typical offer, however it depends on your land and location.
