At least we're seeing some movement. Hope we do as well as our neighbors across the street in Sabine Parish. Oh, the difference an imaginary line makes.

GL, would you post a listing of the sections, unit names & field name for the ten Haynesville Units?
Hardage, the application is not typically filed or posted until after the pre-application conference, if one is held.
I received a letter dated 7/13/2010. I'm attempting to educate myself so I can understand exactly what it's stating.

Will this eventually lead to an offer?
Parts of my sons’ land was in the 10 units. It was all stuff that had leased cheap. Looks like they are trying to HBP it. I sit on the edge unleased and watch. I have a lot of surface water, maybe they will buy some of that when they are ready to frac. Only problem is I am a mile off the black top. No interest yet! Guess I can live off my kids. Maybe it’s payback time!
I seem to be on the edge too. I'm T9N, R10W section 7 & 8. I'm not in the 10 they are talking about in the letter, but am just outside. Did I get the letter b/c I'll be in the fully formed unit?

Today's letter says there will be no conference.
Proposed unit - sections 9, 10, 11, 14, 15,17, 20, 28, 29 & 32. (If I'm reading this right)
My land is in the adopted unit boundary.
Looks like 16 &21 are the pending unit boundaries ~ Pretty sure that's where the Charlie Davis well is located.
GL, you would have received the letter because your land is near one or more of the proposed units.

Can you post the field name and the Haynesville unit names for each of the 10 sections you listed?

The Charles Davis well is located in Section 27.

EnCana, Charles Davis 27 #H1 Well, Serial #241118, S27-T9N-R10W

The following are the existing or pending Haynesville Units in T9N-R10W.

S16-T9N-R10W, HA RA SUP Unit, Shell, San Miguel Creek Field, Natchitoches Parish
S21-T9N-R10W, HA RA SUZ Unit, EnCana, San Miguel Creek Field, Natchitoches Parish
S22-T9N-R10W, HA RA SUI Unit, EnCana, San Miguel Creek Field, Natchitoches Parish
S23-T9N-R10W, HA RA SUJ Unit, EnCana, San Miguel Creek Field, Natchitoches Parish
S26-T9N-R10W, HA RA SUK Unit, EnCana, San Miguel Creek Field, Natchitoches Parish
S27-T9N-R10W, HA RA SUL Unit, EnCana, San Miguel Creek Field, Natchitoches Parish
The map attached to the letter says:
Encana
San Miguel Creek Field, Cotton Valley Formation, Haynesville Zone

Sorry, I don't have scanner. This is what's written in each section:
9 - CV RA SUP, HA RA SUAA
10 - CV RA SUQ, HA RA SUBB
11 - CV RA SUR, HA RA SUCC
17 - CV RA SUU, HA RA SUFF
15 - CV RA SUT, HA RA SUEE
14 - CV RA SUS, HA RA SUDD
20 - CV RA SUV, HA RA SUGG
29 - CV RA SUX, HA RA SUII
28 - CV RA SUW, HA RA SUHH
31 - CV RA SUY, HA RA SUJJ

I have absolutely NO idea what all that means.

I do have another question: To the west of my section is the Sabine line, it was leased last year ($12500/ac), to the east of me is this new unit they are forming. Can they just skip a single section? Oh please, say no....
GL, you were perfect in listing the information.

Initially some sections are skipped regarding Haynesville Units but your sections should eventually be unitised. Keep an eye out for information on well test results in your area. Good test results should spur on additional units and increased drilling activity.

Thanks Les,
Everyone seems to expect good things from Davis and Messenger is doing well. I'm just across the parish line from Jimmy Brown (Sabine) so I know it's all around. To my west is the Sabine line and it's unitized. To my east is the new Davis unit and it really looks like my ONE section between the two units is just sitting all alone......
I know I'll be part of it soon enough, but now that things are happening I'm getting a little excited.
Hey GL,
The Jimmy Brown well is located near Mitchell and is not related to "our" Jimmy Brown.
Business is picking up and you will see something soon. (Uncle Frank would be proud)
Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks.... I'm trying not to get too excited. I've seen so many of my friends dancing to the bank.... I wanna dance too..... haha
GL, this is additional information on the Jimmy Ray Brown well.

EnCana, Jimmy Ray Brown 9 #H1 Well, Serial #240294, S9-T9N-R12W, Sabine Parish, 20000 Mcfd
