Thought it might be good to post any results on wells being drilled in the county. I know a good well was hit around Denning.

This is the latest one I know of from the East Texas Drilling Report:
Timberstar-Hodges GU 1 Well 1H is 15.53 miles northwest of San Augustine in Martinsville Southeast Field. This well was drilled to 11,617 feet by Southwestern. The well was gauged on open choke and potentialed 4.237 million cubic feet of natural gas. Production is in James.

PRODUCTION MAY BE FROM JAMES LIME , BUR ITS NOT 11,600 FEET IN DENNING

Forbis McKinney 2 is 11.5 miles southwest of Center at 12,251 feet. Cabot O&G completed the well in Angie Field. It potentialed 12.978 million cf of natural gas on a 46/64-inch choke. Production is in James Lime.

Yes it is...Just south of Shelby Co. line and west of Hwy. 96.

You can find it on the RRC Public GIS map already.
Good to see new permits in SA county. Permitted to 14000 ft this should be a Haynesville well.

Cowboys Gas Unit Well 1 will be drilled in a Wildcat Field by Fossil Resources 22 miles south of Center in the Hennis, J J Survey, A-139 to 14,000 feet.
My guess is yes.
San Augustine County

Three wells were completed by Southwestern Energy. Timberstar-Hopkins Well 1H is 1.6 miles north of Attoyac in the Angie Field. Total depth is 13,655 feet. This well potentialed 15.211 million cf of gas on a 80/64-inch choke. Production is in the James Lime. Timberstar-Tartt Well 1H and 2H are 1.6 miles north of Attoyac in the Martinsville, Southeast Field. Depth of 1H is 12,812-feet. This well potentialed 7.808 million cf of gas on a 40/64-inch choke. Total depth of the 2H is 13,643-feet. This well potentialed 12.513 million cf of gas on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the James.


Southwestern Energy completed the Timberstar-Waterman 1H and Timberstar-Mills 5H in the Angie Field. The No. 1H is six miles north of Attoyac at 13,260 feet. On a 38/64-inch choke, it potentialed 17.270 million cf of gas. No. 5H is 4.4 miles southeast of Aiken at 3,204 feet. On a 38/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 13.239 million cf of gas. Production is in the James Lime.


The Angie Field has seen the Forbis McKinney 3 completed to 11,814 feet by Cabot Oil & Gas. This well is 11.5 miles southwest of Center. The well was gauged on a 64/64-inch choke and potentialed 9.003 million cf of gas. Production is in the James Lime.


The Long Bell Oil Unit 2 Well 2ST was completed 6.6 miles southwest of Brookeland in the Brookeland Field. KT Operating completed the well to 14,438 feet. On a 34/64-inch choke, the well flowed with 75 barrels of crude. Production is in the Austin Chalk, 8800.


In a lease 11.5 miles southwest of Center, in the Angie Field, Cabot Oil & Gas completed the Forbis McKinney 1 to 12,632 feet. This well was gauged on a 64/64-inch choke and potentialed 11.392 million cf of gas. Production is in the James Lime.
Is this the latest drilling report, JWC? Tyler paper?
Yes, dated OCT 12th.
Any one know anything about South Westerns well API No. 405-30230 6 miles N of Denning. The rig moved off it recently.
