has anyone else heard that Menedum in Joaquin has released their lease offers due to bank failure?Are there companies still willing to lease at this point?

The name of the company is M. L. Benedum. I just received word from them on Friday whereby they withdrew their offer to me for Desoto Parish property. They said their financier has requested them to halt all leasing until such time as the market stabilizes.
No bank failure involved, He was going to flip your acreage anyway and given that lease prices are falling he wouldn't be able to flip and make a profit. I heard from a reliable local source, this guy cold drafted people in Sabine Parish some months ago.
Sorry, got the name wrong, it is Benedum, so they duped my 88 year old grandmother! What can we do, now she's upset that she may have missed her leasing opportunity.
JG, yes on the duped. I believe for whatever reason (waited to squeeze for the last dollar)? your grandmother has missed the train. It has left the station.
