Township 22 - Bossier Parish

Township 22 Bossier Parrish
Hello to all of you in Township 22. I don’t really know what is going on in that neck of the woods but I have been doing some thinking. If the shale does reach this area the township needs to pull together. If I understand correctly (I may not) a township can pull together and it is easier for the community and the company that wants to lease the land. (The company only has to send ONE LANDMAN not 100’s; this is less money they have to shell out.) Only one lawyer has to be hired to represent the community and the cost is spread among the community. So anyway I was thinking we might need to do something. If we could get a list going with some sort of contact information we would be ready at the first sign of a Landman. Thoughts / suggestions?

I have some land east of Plain Dealing in T22 and haven't heard anything or been contacted.

Area is from Salem Cemetery Rd. and runs to the east of the Mott oil field road. It is a 13sq. mile area. The company is Berkshire operating out of Dallas. They have drilled 3 wells into the smackover formation and hit oil and gas on all three using a geologic guess. They are having the survey done so as to pin point formations better.

Today, I drove down Highway 2 east from Plain Dealing for about 6 miles and turned north on Mott Road whereupon there was what I believe to be a seismograph crew (a van and a 4 wheeler) headed north. A little later, I came across another van and two 4 wheelers on Salem Cemetery Road, headed south, just north of Highway 2. Someone is interested in the area. Can someone tell me the name of the field in the area where the Mott Oilfield Road splits off Mott Road?

It is in the Rocky Mount field. Survey has been completed but no news on any new locations to be made in the area.

be aware the townships are out for themselves , as stated on the East 80 site , parrishes are negotiating and signing at 20k-30K per acre. If the town were helping you you can be damn sure that they would not let the gas companies get away with 100-300 per acre. stand firm , gas prices will rise .
