I understand that, but AEXP was unable to fund their share of the working interest.... MNLU absorbed their obligation and the merger is all part of that work out in my opinion... I'm not seeing anything positive about the delay in the merger, when so much is riding on the progress of the drilling well... it could end up in a legal mess if MNLU does not have all its ducks in a row. For example I remember reading that the four for one stock exchange is subject to due diligence and perfection of the titles to the property which both sides are in the process of completing.... we'll see soon enough, won't we!!!
How many times is the CEO gonna erroneously drop the term "haynesville"
I won't go into the overly general questions asked by the hosts or Mr. Atencio's responses to them. However I believe that he makes several less than accurate statements. He seems to insinuate that Mainland was knowledgeable concerning the Haynesville and was an early mover. Previous reports and interviews with the former CEO made it clear that Mainland acquired their leasehold in the Holly Field, generally Sections 11 & 16 - 13N - 15W with the intention to drill Cotton Valley wells. That MR was in the right spot at the right time was sheer luck. A search of SONRIS will reveal that the state of LA. has no record of MR ever permitting much less drilling a well. Any kind of well. The HS wells in those sections are El Paso. Mainland participated as a minor Working Interest in a number of wells including a really good one or two by Petrohawk in that area. To say that MR leased for the HS and was a developer of those HS prospects is spin without supporting facts. MR sold their interests in the Holly Field to finance the Buena Vista Prospect. They would seem to have all their eggs in one basket. Buyer Beware.
Mainland Resources, Burkley-Phillips #1 reported 56 days drilling ahead @ 15,489' on 9-17/10.
Thanks Skip.... this is important footage here and the next 2,000 feet per previous shows in Long well....
Skip,

Mainland Resources, Burkley-Phillips #1 reported 63 days drilling ahead @ 16,080' on 9-24-10.
Where did you aquire this article? Its not on Mainlands website, and I cant find it anywhere..

Thanks
russell, this is a press release put out by Mainland or a PR firm representing them. It will appear numerous times under the byline of different energy-related Internet news/PR companies. You can use your browser or email program to set up an alert list with key words. It will load all those matching your parameters to your inbox. This report has already appear a number of times on my email.
Attached is a press release with a change which may be significant in that the drilling target is increased to 22, 200', which based on what is known may be an attempt to drill through the Haynesville Shale into the top of the Smakover Formation (which in itself may be productive).

If the seismic profile is as large as is indicated (see 2nd attachment-scroll down to seismic map) this could double the potential reserves for this prospect... that would be a major plus all around.
