Does anyone have any information regarding the rumored "Victoria Ann" Cabot well that is to be somewhere in the Denning area?. Any info is appreciated. Thanks
Whoa Dudes.... I feel like I am in an episode of a Speedy Gonzales cartoon... and the O&G companies are those two cats, George and Benny.... kind of dumb, slow moving and hard to get motivated to even do anything... then end up failing to complete even the most simple task.
We received the call that Cabot was sending out 'Division Orders' back at the begining of January... it is now the beginning of February and 'nada'... nothing from them. Would not be so bad, but these wells are on holdings that the leases had expired on prior to or during the beginning drilling phases. The family also had calls stating that Devon and others had completed wells and were sending out D.O.'s too... prior to the call from our contact Landman with Cabot. Nothing from them either, so I am beginning to wonder if they are waiting for the sun to come out and warm up Texas before they begin to do anything again. And no answers other than, "we'll get back to you".... Is it just me or are others having the same issues?
Be nice if they would at least move so we know that they are still alive.... so in the immortal words of Speedy,
"¡Ándale! ¡Ándale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!"
I know of others that have yet to hear or receive anything on the Wilkinson or Whitton. I asked them about it when you said you were expecting division orders but they still haven't got a thing. I can understand 3 months but it's been about 5 months for the Wilkinson and about the same on the Whitton. On the RRC the Whitton doesn't show any production either and I know it has been kicking out some pretty good flow rates for awhile.
I couldn't imagine those wells being drilled after a lease expired. That could potentially give the owners 100% interest? Pipelines would have been laid without buying ROW which makes the pipelines the land owners. That would be a very costly mistake but if it's true the owners could start 711 Operating LLC and sell the gas to TPF themselves. Let me know if y'all need a president!
Yowsa!
At last.... Red River 35 GU 1H dug by EXCO Resources.... Division order in my hand (well, actually by my hand right now).... shows completed August 2nd, 2010.....
So, can Whitton GU 1H and Wilkerson GU #1H be far behind? And if those are in, are the rest spread about those be peeking over the fence and looking our way as well?!??
Seven D.O.'s in hand over the last two weeks... life is looking better!!!!
So, has anyone else gotten their D.O. from Cabot or Exco on the Quirk survey? I've gotten four now, but most of my family members have not seen anything yet... on one of mine, I signed almost a month ago... so what is up with the way this is being handled?
Does not seem to matter if I sign these or not, still have not seen anything from anyone except from the Southwestern leases. We have several wells up in Shelby that have been producing for over a year or more and still nothing yet from Devon.
Anyway, I just wanted to put out a 'feeler' and see if anyone else has had anything from any of them?
Nope, nothing on that... I have a relative that lives something like ten miles out of Shelby... he still has not received a D.O. while I live just west of Portland, Oregon and I already got four.
I am still lost on the O&G stuff in Texas...
Feels like I am stuck in that old game of "Whack-a-mole"
every time I think I can raise my head...
**WHAP**
I get smacked in the head and it starts all over again!
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
