What does the indemnity clause mean?  We are unleased and wondering how it would affect us if we sign the D. O.

What does it say?
La mineral code RS31:138.1 states, C.The execution of a division order is not a condition precedent to recieving payments from a lessee. The lessee shall not withhold royalty payments because his lessor has not executed a division order. All you are required to send them is your name, address, and social security number to be paid your share
No, third parties rights would be unaffected and ruled by statute.

However, the Operator is seeking some protections from a royalty owner coming back and saying that they own more or less later on.
