Shale play in NE Shelby around Joaquin will be defined soon (NEWS 12/7/2010)

GoodRich Petroleum spud the R Dean Hay Gas Unit #1H 06/08/2010 a shale test about 2 miles west of Joaquin. The well is in the Pennington and Tuton Surveys N of State Hwy 7 and S of Hwy US 84. Any one who lives in area please keep eyes and ear open and post any thing you hear. The CHK well Harvey #1H to south and EOG Walker #1H to WSW where not good wells. Hope this well is good to maintain value of minerals and chance for all in area with deep minerals to get drilled and placed in a unit.
