Anyone know any information about the Buckley survey area. I know they have been running pipelines around the Hwy 353 area, but wondering if a well is next.

Hi Robert.  If you will look at the bottom of the discussions listed on the Shelby Co. page you will see a link to all of the discussions archived on this board.  Click "View All".  On the new page, type in "Buckley" and hit search.  You will get a list of discussions that contain something about the John Buckley Survey, A-41.  There are several.

Thanks iffree1,

That is the name of the survey. I was just wondering as they are now on my property. They have wires ran all over the place and doing blast. The holes have been drilled for a few months and all of a sudden they came out and ran wires and doing blast, so I was just wondering what is going on.

That sounds like a seismic survey.  Did they not sign you up for the shoot?  They will be gone soon, hopefully, but you might want to contact the company doing the work if you don't have a signed agreement.

If you read some of those other discussions about A-41 you should find some plats that show where the drilling is happening right now.  Southwestern is about the only one permitting wells in that survey right now.

I don't remember signing anything, but they did send a little check. I think it was 20 dollars an acre. I signed a lease about 18 months ago and we were one of the ones that had a check in hand when the stock market hit bottom and they pulled it back. They have a few more months left on the original lease.

Robert--- if they pulled check 18 months on lease did they then offer less bonus or did you lease to some one else? who leased your minerals?

The first lease was with Crown Holdings.  A release was filed in December of 2008.  The second lease was with OPG Energy in July 2009 for a term of three (3) years so it will run until 2012.

Thanks iffree,

Evidently you know more then I do. LOL.....If you can find out anything about any drilling close to me or in my survey please let me know.

Robert, anyone can search Shelby County land records.  Searches are free but you have to create an account to download copies.

A-41 is near the Sabine County line and several people are watching that area.  I suspect it will be posted when there is something solid to report so check back often.

Thanks,

We have land and mineral interests in close to 1000 acres next to and across 353 from the pipeline in this survey. We are also trying to find out any information.  Seismic testing has already been done in the part closest to 353 but nothing else.  XTO/Exxon lease is up in the spring and I would think that something would be happening soon. The potential maps that I have seen look real promising for this area. I would also appreciate any more information

Carlton,

 Email me at garseer@yahoo.com

 Thanks

 Robert

Carlton,

We have interest in the same area. I have never heard of / seen potential maps. Who showed them to you and do you have copies?
