Mickey - I have only heard from our Devon contact (Landman) that there are Division Orders coming out, however we are still waiting for them. Devon is being extremely tight lipped in regard to anything about their wells. Both Shelby and San Augustine counties are still continuing to be quite.
On the flip side, our family continues to get offers from various companies to purchase all or part of the family mineral rights. 2011 has been fairly decent for the family with seven Division Orders being signed and a pretty decent purchase of logging tracts for our trees.
Hopefully things take off for all of us with holdings in the Haynesville shale play.
I was in the same boat as you, unable to find the 'if and when' they drilled, but thanks to Jffree1, we now know. Strange thing is I again listened to the voicemail from the Landman and he does mention the Don Wheeler unit as one of the Division Orders they are sending us.
So that leaves me even more confused than normal...
They don't send out D.O.'s on non-drilled wells, correct? So with this additional information, could the Devon Landman be incorrect in which well/survey he is looking at? This is all leaving me totally confused and bewildered. I was told by a relative that we have pad sites that were being prepped and 'junk' all over them, but nothing going on there now in some sites in both Shelby and San Augustine counties. We have signed D.O.'s months ago on some wells and seen nothing yet. We have leases that have expired and yet there is still activity going on at the sites. I have attempted to utilize the RRCT site, but to no avail... I feel like it 'that' contest and they've greased the floor.
I would also like to add that this site is the only reliable source that I have located in all of my searches. I cannot locate any 'official' state or county source that I would trust to take my trash to the curb. And as for the G & O companies, they do play by their own set of rules, don't they?
Thanks to all on here who give those of us that are 'little fish in the big pond' in regard to oil and gas exploration!!!!
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
