Lalla Allen,
I'm receiving $330 to $375 per acre.
Linda
Thanks for the info. Good to know.
One day in the next 90 I expect to receive a royalty check, so if you don't mind me asking, what rate of , production for your well or wells (how many), and what $$ did they sell the gas, per mcf?
VSC DeSoto,
Don't mind at all..... I'm receiving royalties on one well in the southern part of DeSoto Parish (Naborton area) - volume is averaging between 8 & 9 million a day. Price is ranging from $3.97 down to $2.96. My lease is with chesapeake, so gas prices are probably lower than what others are paying.
I also receive royalties on a small lot here in Stonewall. It's the Virginia Packert 6H well, and it's been flowing at a pretty good rate, so the amount of royalty per acre is much better. It's been in production since July 2010. Total monthly production for July was 543,947 mcf, August 465,865 mcf, and Sept. 409,912.17 mcf. Gas prices range from $4.56 in July, $4.43 in Aug, and $3.59 in Sept. My lease is with Chesapeake, but Encana is the operator, thus the higher gas prices.
Hope this info helps!
VSC DeSoto,
Yes, it is hard to believe. I just thank God everyday for this wonderful blessing.
Yes it's per month. The naborton well went online in July 2010, and I received my first check on November 1st. The first check was for three months production. The other well took about the same time before royalties started coming in.
Lalla,
My cousin has a well in the northeastern part of DeSoto Parish. The production on his well is not as great as mine, so his royalties are averaging somewhere between $100 to $200 per acre each month.
Again, good luck with your well.
Linda

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
