Wow! What excuse will our police jurors have now for not fixing our roads? LOL!
On any given day, I pass a minimum of 20 tankers up and down our highways on my little commute back and forth to work. Shouldn't they have a little responsibility when it comes to fixing our roads? The major drilling hasn't even started and already you can see the increased traffic of these large rigs.
Wow, what are the parishes going to do with that windfall?
Yesterday I saw about 10 frac trucks on Barksdale then just a little after that 10 more on 3132
Chesapeake has most of my section leased, but I haven't heard anything from them since the big money started coming in, last offer I had was around Oct. or Sept. 07 at $250 an acre and 3/16 and I passed, but most of my neighbors leased then. Im in 16N 16W Sect 22 three miles east of Bethany. Has anyone had any recent offers in this area?
Ok, finally got another offer where I am, which is in Princeton, off of Winfield Rd.. We ( being group in the neigborhood) got an offer back in May, which was 4,000.00 an acre, basically the same for everyone else sounds like. We were then offered a second offering of 6000.00 an acre and now has came to 8500.00 an acre with all the same offerings at 1/4 % royality, with a 3 yr lease and 2 yr option. Call me crazy but I dont like this offer, we all here in this neighborhood pretty much live on 3 acre tracts. Of course the company being Chesapeeke, is now saying that they will be moving on if we dont do something soon. I think now more of my neighbors are going for it for fear of missing out on something I believe is bigger than the O & G companies are letting us in on. Scare tactics works every time. By the way this is my first post since joining, but boy have I been reading and running my mouth about this site. Anyone giving out advice, please I will be here to read it.
We live on Lindsey Road, right off Wafer Road and CHK has offered the same 8500, 25% to us over here. We are still holding out for a little more, but we are not going to be greedy.
Hi Neighbor, I will be at the meeting tonight at the Love Chapel. Hope to talk with you. I have been reading all your inputs here. I have told several of my neighbors about the meeting tonight and hopefully they will be there to. I have one neighbor who agrees with me. I cant see where they ( the O & G company can just pull out) they have already spent there money here. How else are they going to make it back. I hope to hold out for me, hey why not be greedy, they are? How else have they made billions of dollars and still up the price of gasoline as we speak?
Take the money and a good royalty payment and move on with life....it's too short to dwell upon such things.
Hello Oldlowball , I am glad you changed your mind about posting! On this point I am afraid we are on different sides of the fence.

If you give a person at the store a $20 bill for something that cost $10 , are you going to walk out of the store and not get your change ? Unless of course you are like me and don't realize it until you are half way home, you will certainly want the money that is due you . That doesn't make you greedy does it ? Certainly not. What is the difference between wanting what is due at Wally World and on your own land. It is the same exact thing !

The moneys that are given at Bonus time should be viewed as moneys borrowed against your gas. They aren't giving away money, they are giving you part of your future money.Or if your neighbor signed real low, they are giving you part of his future money! These costs to O & G are a drop in the bucket for the true value that is under your dirt! Even if they were going to eat these bonuses, which they are not I assure you .

If you are unleased at this particular time, you will never again have the oportunity that is before you now. Technology and the rising costs of fuel have given you this chance of 5 lifetimes.Do with it as you see fit ! But please do not ask others to short change their only real chance at making this thing pay off.You are more likely to get run over by a frac truck then you are of winning the lottery. I don't even play the lottery so I have really been watching out for those trucks as my chances have greatly increased. Most of us common , plain old people will have no other shot , or long enough left here on earth to realize those wonderful huge royalty payments ,that are being dangled in front of us like a carrot in front of a jacka, mule !

Whatever decision we make, we have to be at peace with it . There is nothing we can do about it after the fact ! Many didn't have the chance to make an informed decision. That should certainly not be the excuse now. Thanks and have a good day everyone!
I agree with you snakestewart. They (Twin Cities) keep telling us in Bossier City that $5,500 is the best they can do, I am not falling for it. Not every neighborhood has a association and I don't think the individuals should be penalized for that. I don't believe they are the only ones to
work in neighborhoods either. We (some of my neighbors) are willing to wait even if it means forced pooling.

this is what I would tell Twin Cities
