Can one of you local guys take a look at the C Hereford survey (Section A-17)? I met with a landman (landlady?) yesterday when my mother-in-law signed her lease, and the landlady said that a pad is being cleared north of 103, about 1.5 miles east of 705. This will not be on the road - maybe 3/4 mile north of 103. Encana should be the one getting ready to drill.

Thanks, Steve.  Homer was a great dad.  I just wish I could figure out how to upload a video of him.  He was a hoot.

I see there is an Amend to the Blackstone A-17.
Whats an Amend?

i think they make a change to the original permit. I noticed on 3/18 they corrected some distances to leased lines.  Someone correct me if I am wrong.

JWC, what they did was file the "as-drilled" plat for the well which would amend from the position on the "proposed" plat (locations and distances) filed with the permit application.  All Haynesville wells should have an as-drilled plat filed at some point.
Ok thanks jffree1.  Does that mean we are closer to a completion report?

It looks like Encana is still loving the area around A-17. They applied today for another site just northeast of A-17, in the following surveys: A-399 (Christiana Sinclair), A-237 (H. G. Richardson), and A-247 (Joseph Simms).

Encana is calling it BSM Unit A20 #1H. Once again, Black Stone Minerals has 100% of the royalties. I suspect you get to it the same way you get to A-17, by turning off 1751 on CR403, then going southwest on CR 406 until you see the gate on the left.

Where do you see where Encana applied before it shows up on the RRC Web page?

It's in the permits (W-1 search) but won't be on the GIS map until it gets an API #.

Select San Augustine from the drop down list.  Go to the last page of results.

Thanks jffree1.
