Forest has permitted a new Haynesville Shale test in Section 34/35 of T8N-R14W. The horizontal lateral will run west under Toledo Bend Reservoir. This well would be located further south and west than any previous Haynesville Shale well in Louisiana and should give good information about the southern portion of both the Haynesville Shale and Bossier Shale.

Looks like this will be on the ebarb side of the bay. This is looking good for landowners all the way to north toledo state park. Thanks les for all you do!!
Where is North Toledo State Park. Thanks..
Ken,

They are planning to drill in on section and into the next section.
Will both sections benefit or just one, should the well produce?

Chad, the Haynesville Unit includes both Section 34 & Section 35 so mineral owners in both sections will share in the production. The lateral is primarily in Section 35 but does extend into Section 34.
Ken,

Do you know if a pad or clearing had started for this well?

Thanks,

CP
i am in the 36.32 acres of the section 35-T8N-R14W and we are leased to forest, but still have not received any information on a well being placed on it. our lease runs out in june of 2012. should i be thinking of other companies to lease with and how valuable do you think our property is. talking to forest or our landman is like talking to my worn out boots

Charles, Forest has a permitted well for the Haynesville Unit that includes Sections 34 & 35 so it is possible they could spud before your lease expires.  Otherwise you could consider Comstock who just drilled a well in Sections 25 & 36 to the east that is waiting to be frac'd.  You are in a good area as Forest drilled and completed a good well in Sections 23/26 just to the north.
