Hello, I'm Lawrence Avant.  As far as leasing, go slow & educate yourself as

much as possible.  I do not recommend signing Pine Belt's standard lease, but

that's your call.  A number of exploratory wells have been drilled in Union Parish

recently, some of them with some success.  You can go on the Sonrise Lite website

to get more info on these wells.  One of these wells(Exxon-Mobile in Sec. l6-T23N-R2East)

appears good enough that Pine Belt is assigning a company to drill an adjacent area.

Some better or improved leases have come across the Union Parish Clerk of Courts Office.

Best Wishes & May GOD BLESS!!

Can you give us some more information? Is it going to be a horizontal well? I can't find the well serial number or permit on sonris.

What are those leases? Things have been quiet around Lillie for awhile.

     Dear North La,

Assignment has been made by Pine Belt to Jura Search, Inc., on 1040 acres adjacent to the Exxon-

Mobil well in Sec. l6, T23N, R2E.  This partial assignment includes all of Sec. 23 of that township, as well as parts of Sec. 13,14, 22, &24.  This assignment was done in late March.  For more info regarding leases, please call me(318-548-3603).

Thanks for the information Lawrence.

Jura Search, Inc., is a small company out of the Jackson, Mississippi area. THE WELL IS GOING TO BE A SHALLOW WELL, AS THE DEPTH RESTRICTION ON THE ASSIGNMENT INDICATES

              Dear FoxieCajun,

Although I am not a geologist by training, I will look into this matter.   However, the history of drilling in the five sections in the partial assignment by Pine Belt shows 6 shallow wells(depth range 2565-3817  ft.  during a period from 1948 -1979) .   Three other wells were permitted but never drilled.  The assignment makes reference to " the surface  of the earth down to a depth of 3400  feet subsea."  I feel like this refers to a geologic level ,  but I'm not certain.    The well in  Section 16, T23N, R2E ,  was drilled to 9200 ft.   I'll try to let you know something next week ,,

     Dear FoxieCajun,

I contacted Mr. Fugate with Pine Belt about this matter.  You were correct in  your statement that this was going to be a shallow play.  He indicated that Jura-Search, Inc., would be drilling a shallow well looking for oil.  Most of this area has already been drilled for shallow natural gas.  This well should be permitted soon.

More than likely, Jura-Search noticed something in the results for the well in Sec. 16, T23N, R2E.  Thanks for the correction.  May God Bless!!
