Sonris shows Chesapeake received a permit on 9/14/2010 to drill a HA well Serial No. 242013 in Section 5 of T9N-R12W.  I am out of state and would very much appreciate any updates or activity pertaining to this permit.

I don't think so, Donna.  From the road, it looked like it had to be in either section 3, 4, 9, or 10 0f 9N-12W.

I'm hoping that it is there to drill one of the Theresa Spears' wells that have been permitted for 009-9N-12W.  ( I didn't see any signs posted on the Loop road. )

Ensign US Drilling - Rig #151 is currently drilling the ECA Jimmy Ray Brown 2-Alt. in Section 9.

That's true, Skip.  The Jimmny Ray Browm 2-ALT well has been drilling for over a week now.  I was just wondering where that other rig was located that I could see sticking up over the trees to the east of the loop. No big deal.

Thanks for your reply.

grasshopper

It's not in any of the sections you listed.  Those are the only ones I checked.
Uncle G, you may be right.  I don't have my file with me, but check the papers we received from EnCana (I think) when they were approaching the La. Conservation Board about the 7 additional alt wells.  They had an exhibit attached of where they were proposing to drill them.  It seems like 3 were east of the Jimmy Ray Brown well.

grasshopper, could it have been a rig drilling another water well or waste water well?  I noticed Sonris shows 3 water wells in sect. 9 already and with the addition of more Alt gas wells in Encana's gas factory section they may need more water wells.

And this raises a question......who owns the rights to the water and wells?  Is it to be shared by everyone in the unit as other minerals or is it governed by the lease(s) where the water well is drilled.  Some leases control water use.

Actually, there are 8 wells.  Jimmy Ray Brown 1 & 2, the 3 Theresa Spears alt wells, and the 3 Deanna Sistrunk alt wells drilling into Sec. 9.

I see on SONRIS that the last entry for S/N 242013 was two months ago on May 6th -"Perf 12,866-16,899 (11 STGS).     Does anyone have an update on what is actually going on with this well?   I'm from out of state so would appreciate any news.  thanks
Tom, I had just looked at SONRIS and was wondering also if anyone had any news as to what is going on. We may just have to wait yet another month.

That well is producing, started in june....call Cheasapeake and ask them when it went on line.

Thanks Ken,

I spoke with CHK Customer Relations and they confirmed that the well began production on June 10th.   They were unwilling to provide any production details and said that I should wait 4-6 months for a Division Order and more information.    I suppose they will have to update the well status on SONRIS at some point.

Thanks Ken and Tom, I appreciate the info very much......looking forward to the IP rate and SONRIS update.
