I received a report today from a land owner in north Caddo who was offered a lease by HEP Energy out of Lafayette. I would like to hear from members who have also received offers from HEP.

Please give a section, township and range of where the offer was made
Skip, I have a friend who was approached by the same company on the east side of the river north of the bridge at Benton. Very good offer for 3yr. lease! Also there is another company Merit Energy leasing in further north in T22 that has contacted me personally. They say they are leasing for a major company but won't reveal who! lol....Couldn't get much information from the agent! My offer has to be at least as good as the one toward Benton before I will sign! Also land has been leased in T23 North of Plain Dealing by JB land services. Looks as if it is 3 separate brokers leasing for 1 major company! Do you have any opinion or information on this?

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
