I'm laughing with you, Mr. Stewart! I just would have guessed the Caddo & Bossier numbers would have been reversed. Which just goes to show guessing isn't always accurate, even educated guessing.

Mr. Stewart is my 75 year old dad. My friends call me Snake.
Even my mom, unless shes mad.Then its the full name , highly enunciated. Shes 72 and still threatens to whip me on occasion. (LOL)

I do that out of respect for you. You can state your case without taking personal jabs or making veiled threats. You state your opinion as just that, may back it up with primary source, and even when you're frustrated I've seen you allow others their right to their opinion & choices. You're also a big enough person to state you can't always be 100% correct or right. You give respect, so you've earned my respect.

Oh, and if any of those poll workers were friends of you mother's, I apologize if I offended them, too. (but it WAS good for a giggle, kinda like when the teacher's slip is showing)

I dont remember saying I couldnt be right 100% of the time but I may have admitted this in a time of weakness. Please do not let my hottie wife know this as I still have her convinced of the opposite. (LOL)

Respect should always be shown at first chance if for no other reason then as a formality. I have been raised that way and it is something that the younger generations could have benefitted from if they didnt already have all the answers that they will ever need. Once you have spent enough time with an individual, some of the formality can be lost if a person so chooses. The respect is still there, if not more so, you can just evolve to a more personal way of address. Not to mention that sometimes when I am irritated , I may say Mr. or Ms. while being a smartelic because I am outwardly showing a forced respect because I am afraid my mom may be watching (chuckle,chuckle). Most the time It is out of respect but you know how us smartelics can be. HA!HA!HA!

You THINK you have your hottie wife convinced ... and she ALLOWS you to think that.

Some of the younger generation may learn something here if they lack "home training."

It may be some of those whippin's you referred to were on the heels of your being a smartalic, just my guess.

At any rate, as evidenced by your post above, your parents did a good job of helping you sort out the respect thing, so you've earned it as a result.

Thanks for that tidbit. Also explains the borderline win for those surrounding parishes. If that's the case (their registration is heavily D) I'm surprised there wasn't more of a Dem push here. Of course, strategically, to go after the states with higher electoral votes was the checkmate move.

Only you know the true intent of your remarks.

Being a highly decorated veteran of questionable comments made in the heat of battle and ones that were just plain stupid considering the circumstances, I understand how things can spiral out of control on you in a big hurry. As a fellow shaler, I would certainly advise trying to amend this situation on a personal level as quickly as possible if you really didnt mean anything out of the way by your comments. Flowers and candy sometimes help but I havent found much success with either.

Perception is the biggest problem that you battle now.Even if you meant no harm, it appears that you did.Poor form no doubt , either way.Hopefully lesson learned. If you did intend a threat, STUPID move. If KB wasnt more then capable of handling this ( which she is , I promise! ), you have caused damage for the side by which you try to defend. You used ,or tried to use,fear as a weapon. Isnt that what the other side is supposed to do ?

Good luck with this. You are gonna need it. Even if you change your name and profile you should say you are sorry before you go. Its just the right thing to do. If not, you are a shmuck ! Thats Yiddish for....... not real sure what it means but it aint good!

Hey KB , I thought you said she wasnt liberal ?
She was incompetent and out of the loop information wise which helped cause the deaths of all those people. A secret undercover plant, that had been in the compound for over a year, told the ATF that the surprise had been let out of the bag, yet they proceeded as planned. Koresh went into town every week to sing and "witness". Why wasnt he picked up then.
Lets not forget about Ruby Ridge either.
Both of these horrible things happened because of the enfringment on the second ammendment by Liberal Democrats or to squelch the cries of said liberals.While both parties had questionable motives for why they were doing what they were doing, the assaults ended up hurting the antigunners groups more then enforcing said laws would have helped in these cases.
