Its been a long time since I got on the site her Roy. Round July I was getting prepared to move to Virginia and tonight is my first logon since this past summer. I will be checking in several times a week now that things have settled down, including all this darn snow dumped on us here the last few days. I updated my profile a little about pipeline stuff.
Rickey,
I was reading your information on the Roy Martin Well and I am like you, i'm one section away in 16 16 22. I too have only had lame offers and I told the Cajun Exploration guy that I wasn't signing his seismograph contract because $25 an acre wont even fill up my truck and boat with gas ( I only have 5 ac). Anyway your in the general area i'm in and like me you seem to be waiting on a lease. I haven't seen much discussion about our area. I'm on Glen Lane off of Cook Rd.
In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
