anyone have any info on the status of the Chapel permit API #347-33255  . The pad site is located   ~ 2mi north and west of the nelson pad site. The bottom hole of the Chapel  well the Nelson well and the previous Sw  Henderson Hay well are all on a line with aprox heading 128 degrees SE  from the BH of the first  drilled Henderson well. Thoughts on this area.

I believe the Chapel 1-H well has been postponed in favor of the ACLCO 1-H.

I expect there will be but maybe not until 2012.

The ACLCO 1H is an EOG well and a very good one. It is shown as 3.1 miles from Cherino. I think Goodrich made a mistake on their presentation(latest dated Oct 10th). Earlier presentations showed the same well as the Lowery 1H(not to be confused with the approved drilling permit for the Lowery well across the cove from the Lowery 1H). Maybe Goodrich did choose the same name as the EOG well but that seems highly unlikely. Both are shown on slide 23 of the latest Goodrich investor presentation.  

 

ease up, I'd be willing to bet the Lowery 1H or ACLCO 1H, whatever it is called, will be on the same heading parallel to both the Henderson and Chapel wells. looking at the map, it would make perfect sense.

TGM, The Goodrich well is ACLCO Hay GU #1H, less than a mile due west of the Henderson well (Angelina Co.).   The EOG-ACLCO Unit #1H is, as you said, southwest of Chireno.  Hopefully, the Goodrich well will be as good as the EOG well.

 I agree I have heard from some local  landowners that there has been activity- equipment staged -just north of the nelson pad site . But I have not seen a permit as of yet, There is a developed pad site for the Chapel well located north of 103  and west of the Nelson well  See attached

Cool map.  Did you do that with Google Earth?  You can overlay the RRC unit plat on GE but you have to convert it from tif to an acceptable format first.

Nice map ease up. I have one small piece of property right under your thumb tack and one about 1000 feet NW of the penetration point you show for the Nelson well. Goodrich really pushed hard to get me signed over the last couple of weeks and I just received the bonus check this Monday(terms confidential). You can see the pad across the cove that was built for the Lowery well and tell that the Chapel well would go almost right under it. Guess the comment above about the permit for the Lowery well expiring was likely correct. I was under the impression that the penetration point was on the opposite end of your yellow line but may be wrong. I was told a couple months ago that Goodrich was clearing a pad behind the Chapel mill on the north side of 103 for this well. Either way, it's still parallel as you mentioned.

 

jfree1, Thanks for pointing out that Goodrich also has a well with a very similar name to the EOG well. I wouldn't mind if they postponed drilling north of the Nelson well in favor of the ACLCO well. It would be nice if gas prices improved a bit before they take my gas.  The map on the Goodrich presentation shows the red dot and arrow on the east side of the lake adjacent to the Nelson red dot and  to the east of the Henderson well.  That would put it in Nacogdoches County as the Angelina River is the line. I hope they drill wells better than they prepare their slides.

 

Just noticed there is an issue with permit for the ACLCO Hay GU 1. It would be interesting to know what the issue is. Probably just documentation....

Goodrich pushed hard because they are going to JV 30% of your land for $7,500 - $10,000/acre.  This is good news for you as they will now have more capital to drill in the area.

Have you heard anything new regarding this area? I still do not see a a permit for Alco Hay GU 1H anywhere on RRC site. Any activity on the Chapel well site?

ACLCO Hay GU 1H is in Angelina County.
