obed & Lee, take a closer look. That's not "the rig". It's a truck-mounted "work over" rig. One used for drilling out plugs. The kind of work not requiring a permit. It may require a paper report to the state but you'll not find that online, only in the well files of Monroe District LOC office. This looks like part of completion operations meaning getting ready to flow the well. Do we know anything about pipeline connections in the area?
Thanks Skip. That makes things a lot clearer. [Hope this reply goes in the right place.]
Congratulations, obed. You figured out how to post a reply when there is no "Reply" icon. This happens often in long running threads. Posting in the right place keeps the flow of the discussion intact. Thanks.
Devon now reports the CROSSETT 31H #1 as follows: 02/13/12: TEMPORARILY ABANDONED reported on 2/17/12
Anyone know any information on the XTO well in eastern Morehouse?
Status Code 6 is Waiting On Completion Rig. Only the vertical well bore has been drilled.
| REPORT DATE | WELL STATUS | MEASURED DEPTH | TRUE VERT DEPTH | DETAIL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12/14/2011 | 06 | 7483 | 12/5/11, REACHED TOTAL DEPTH 12/8/11, SET 7" CASING @ 7428' W/830 SXS STATUS DATE: 12/8/11 |
its possible that the status just hasn't been updated yet. They could have drilled the lateral, we know they have fracked.... SONRIS is not a real time database.
I haven't noticed a completion rig on the weekly rig report. Although originally permitted as a horizontal well with a TVD of 8,000' and a MD of 13,000', the Well Scout now shows TD and a MD of 7,483', no TVD is listed. Baron, are you sure they have fracked?
theres photos in this thread of frack equipment and a workover rig on location.
Yep. Question is, was it fracked as a vertical or as a horizontal completion?
I would be suprised if they didn't have the lateral drilled.
But i've been wrong before.
