George,  Thank you for the info!   I am a bit of a novice when it comes to understanding the jargon.  When you say "shut" what does that mean?

I am in the same boat as you, my well is due east of yours (higginbotham u unit) bought last year by XTO. Both wells are drilled but have not been Fracked yet, they list them as shut in.

I am assuming that they will wait for the price of Natural Gas to go back up before they will finish the wells .

Ok... now I get it.  So Southwestern was correct in saying there is a well but the issue is they have not taken it to completion to start any potential production. Thanks for the insight!

George, XTO turned in the first production report (January) for your well. It was 32,248 mcf and probably wasn't for a full month.  I haven't seen the completion report yet so I don't know when it came on.

Borders Q 1H has been producing since last September.

TRRC  list both as shut in (non perforated completion), and my cousins were paid a shut in royalty in january of $1.00. may I ask were did you get your information?, not doubting you at all, just would like to look it up.

Higginbotham U Unit #1H, Lease ID #262114

Borders Q Unit #1H, Lease ID #261377

January production was a partial month for Higginbotham and I'm guessing that it came on late in the month.

Sounds like you know what you are talking about.   I attempted to use the info you provided to pull and potential info on the Borders Q but I am getting:

"Invalid District/Lease Combination. RRC Records indicate the lease number does not exist in this District."

I am using District 6 based on what I see in:

Do you think that just means there is no information yet or am I not using the Query tool properly.

There is no G-1 (IP)  available for that well yet... that I have found.

When I try it it shows "no report", I did find the info on Borders Q well.

George,

They just turned in the first report for Higginbotham less than two weeks ago.  Try the second box and XTO's ID # (945936).  Set the date for Jan. 2012, Dist. 6, Pending.  You will get all of their pending wells for Jan. and you will have to comb through the reports to find your well.  If I remember correctly, it is on the last page.
