Any comments?
I've heard some rumors on IP but there probably won't be any solid numbers out until the Q1 conference call.

Thanks for the photo. Please indulge us with your IP numbers. It will make you look good when the actual numbers come out!!!!
I think we should wait until after the clean up. These are just rumors and I don't want to mislead either way. You could probably guess a number and be just as reliable.
Great photo! My contacts, who live about 2.5 miles from the Garrett location, said they first saw the flare the night of 4/2/12, as I reported. A security guard at the location, however, told a fellow Shaler that the well had been flaring for 3 weeks. If that is the case, the flare must have suddenly gotten much brighter. Hopefully, this is due to increased output, but could they just be changing the choke settings?
SWN has posted on their website that Friday May 4 @ 9:00AM will be their first quarter earnings conference call. Maybe we will learn something at that time.
SWN is also scheduled to present on Monday, April 16, at 2:00 pm EST at the IPAA Oil and Gas Symposia in New York. Don't know how much BD info they will give, but at least there will be a webcast.
Just a reminder of the above webcast at 1:00 pm CDT today. One can sign up to listen at the SWN website.
Just heard the Brown Dense portion of the presentation. They neglected to mention any production rates on the Garrett and also did not give an update on the clean up in their first well. He did mention the picture of the gas flare making its way around the internet and said, yes we are producing natural gas and there are hydrocarbons included. He said the well has been in production for 30 days and 20 % of the fluid has been returned, he said they would give us more info on each well on the next conference call. SWN is still hopeful the BD will replace most of the FVS production that will be lost in coming years. Still seems to be a positive play in their minds and mine as well. Lets all stay positive! North Louisiana needs another play to keep us all busy and at home instead of traveling.
Almost alone among energy stocks, and the market in general for that matter, SWN is up about 0.48% today as I write this. Good sign I hope.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
