Competition is a wonderful thing! Where one gas developing company withdraws, or hesitates, others with capital funds are willing to drill.

Don't know if this has been on the radar - Sec 13, T17N R16W - Petrohawk. SONRIS serial number 239089. SONRIS data begins as 11/18/08 but says 'measured depth 15345 feet' so maybe late paperwork?
JB Berry Would you know what section the Nabors well is in? If not approximately how far north of downtown Shreveport--Texas Street?
7.16 miles as the crow flies as measured via
Google Earth ruler
what happened to Nole in the Longwood Field Sec 21 19 16 well?....any info?
The noel well is waiting on completion, finished drilling the vertical and will probably either frac it or go hrizontal, depending on what happens at the hall 5 and others up there.
They also moved the Trinidad rig in to start the Bohnnert well in s28t19n r15w
HP. CHK has two wells permitted in this section. Both R. Bohnert, different Sand Units. Do you know if the Trinidad rig will be drilling serial #238486 or #238487? That may not be evident just yet but I would appreciate a heads up if you do know in the future. Regards, Skip
Don't know yet really who's drilling this well. Goodrich had their sign up there a few weeks ago but chk, goodrich and matador are changing ownerships up there in a peculiar fashion. I would bet Goodrich drills this well since chk hasn"t made an appearance in the area yet. CHK does have leases in the area, I know in secs 29, 19 so who knows? Will keep an eye out and post.
Thanks, HP. CHK, Goodrich and Matador have a joint venture relationship in this part of the play. Most of the HS wells have been permitted to Matador.
Electro. Haven't heard anything on Matador's Lanier 16 (S16-19N-15W) in a while. Sonris shows it WOC 9/30/08. Any news?
OK Elec, this clears up things somewhat. I didn't realize CHK was the "Big Daddy" involved in this. I'll have to take your word for it. Something must be big in the workings in 19n. I was told that the Lanier 16 hit over 400ft of lignite which I bet he meant hs. I don't understand why they came uphole so far on the hall 5 to go lateral. Surely they aren't going lateral in a sand formation. CV? Also, does that mean that CHK is the Big Daddy in the Ballco and the CCMP?
H.P. I assume you mean horizontal in the Hall??? FYI - Questar just completed a horizontal Cotton Valley well in north Red River Parish - is flowing over 9 million a day with over 2,000 lbs pressure. Camterra drilled horizontal CV a year or so ago down by the Shreveport Port - last I checked, it was still very good producer.
Does anyone have a clue as to what lies beneath, on the Franks 17. Serial #238018 Sec 17 19N 14W. Completion phase according to Sonris 01/06/2009. This is a horizontal. This is the first horizontal in completion around here from what I know. Two more horizontals are waiting on orders up here. The Franks 20 #238017 and the Franks 18 #237711. The Franks probably could use a few extra dollars!!
