Can someone shed some light on the estimated ultimate recovery (EUR), of the wells in the TMS, specifically Amite County, MS.  Encana reports EUR's in the 500 - 750,000 boe range.  I have read that it is estimated that the TMS will contain 750,000 - 1,000,000 boe per square mile, which is 640 acres.  I do not know if this estimate is oil in place or recoverable oil.  Maybe some can elaborate.  Currently TMS units are around 1280 acres in size, 2 square miles.  This would mean that one unit could produce 1.5 - 2,000,000 boe before drained.  If operators end up drilling multiple wells per unit, i.e., 8 or more wells per unit, then each well cannot produce 500,000 or more boe because the unit will not contain that much oil.  I assume this means that each well will have a smaller EUR with each additional well drilled in that unit, but that the unit will be drained much faster.  Is this correct?

Don't confuse the EUR for a whole play with EUR for a specific well/section.  Just like the Haynesville the TMS will have sweet spots where the EURs are greater than the average for the play.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
