I guess this means it is on a pipeline?

3 fracks , Zero water associated with production

Also, re-classified to a gas well (type 3 allowable)

112 Bbls of condensate/day plus 668mcfd = 223.33 boepd rate on a 8/64ths choke (50% oil)

That's not accounting for the NGL cut

Anyone remember what the IP rate SWN announced for this well was? BTU content?

The company's Dean 31-22-1E #1 vertical well, located in Union Parish was placed on production in October 2012 and reached a peak production rate of 214 barrels of condensate per day and 1,273 Mcf of gas per day. After 155 days on production, the well produced an average of 82 barrels of condensate per day and 509 Mcf of gas per day in July.

Is this good, bad or average?

BLZBub,

It is good enough that SWN (and others) will keep drilling and researching to get it right.

It can be easy to loose the real answer to the question everyone that is a mineral owner in the areas of the LSBD are asking....Are my minerals worth anything? My best answer/advice.... Do not take ANYTHING you read here as your primary focus of making that determination!

Some will even tell you they are protecting you from getting your bubble burst and having unwarranted hope...bull doo! Three simple questions can help you with that approach.....Ask yourself.....What does encouraging you really do that will hurt you if it turns out your minerals aren't profitable after all? What will downplaying my minerals do to hurt me if they are worth way more than I thought? Who profits most by downplaying the potential of my minerals?

Don't take everything here as fact...regardless of how impressive all the techy jargon stuff sounds and with it the desired perception of one being "all knowing". Pay attention to what YOU SEE happening out there in the field. Pay attention to where the rigs are and the fact companies are still drilling / and leasing and will soon be drilling more. One more tidbit...don't let the LSBD be your total focus. There are other profitable formations being looked at in the same geographical areas as the LSBD. Some of which could bring a new spurt of drilling in the near future as well.

Very well stated, Gatrpaw.

Thanks for response.

Have already leased my land. It is at the southern boundary of what was leased on north shore of Lake Darbonne. Figure it will be a while before they even think about drilling there.

I agree with you Tony. That was very well said

After seeing what WLL and SWN have said recently, I think Gatrpaw's  statement has been validated. OFT, I am always the optimist. What do I have to lose? Thanks for chiming in, I usually get hammered when I say something.

Anyone got any news on the other Dean well?  Last word on board was that casing had parted.

SWN said yesterday in their 2nd Quarter 2013 Financial and Operating Results report:

""The company’s Dean 31-22-2H Alt horizontal well in Union Parish was drilled to a total vertical depth of 10,055 feet with a lateral length of 3,172 feet and is being completed with 16 planned stages. Southwestern currently plans to drill three additional vertical wells in the play during 2013."

.

SWN published a new investor presentation today. It shows the next four wells to be drilled in 2013. Two in Union parish, northwest of recent activity, and two in Arkansas. I sort of figured they would "hang around the rim" and stay in the pressure fairway near the Sharp and WB wells but maybe they need to save some acreage elsewhere. Maybe this map is not new news but I don't recall the 2013 locations before.

These 4 wells look to be the McMahen well near Walkerville in Columbia County, the Dick James (?) well about 6 miles north of Junction City in Union County, and the Plum Creek and Upshaw wells in Union Parish.
