Thank you...I am learning.

I think that is the fastest they have drilled to that depth but they are drilling a vertical with smaller casing, I think. People on here with more drilling knowledge can give you a better answer about it being good. Good luck Mary.

i apologize to anyone that was offended by my post about "chit chat" and taking it elsewhere".   For the record, i am not superior ( as someone said). i feel grateful that this is going on.  i am in awe of those with knowledge. i really know nothing,  my thinking when i posted my comment was that "why are yall joking around there are other area of GHS to make jokes and all".  It is that simple.

Hollis well:

9/13/13, RE-TEST BOPS. 9/16/13, 10424' AND DRILLING OUT CEMENT.

It did not say they had set the casing. What would they be drilling if not the cement from the casing set?

Obviously a report error, they must have cemented the casing that's the only cement that should be there unlessmtheynsetna cement plug back for some reason
09/25/2013 06 11450 09/20/13: TOTAL DEPTH REACHED. 09/23/13: SET 5-1/2" CASING @ 11,441' W/ 335 SX. STATUS DATE: 09/23/13

Has anyone heard anything further? They hit planned depth on 9/23.

i think we'll hear a lot more toward the end of the month.

Hollis well has been given an allowable of 1200. I've never been really sure what that means. Is it they are allowed to remove up to 1200 bopd?

Back on 10/10/2013 they reported - INACTIVE DRYHOLE - FUTURE UTILITY. STATUS DATE: 09/24/13

Then two weeks later on 10/25/2013 they report the allowable you mentioned effective through January of 1,200...  Anyone know what that could mean?

They can remove up to 1200 bopd but the allowable is based on the depth of the well. They are flaring gas and producing liquids right now.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
