Am I correct that SWN let the Plum Creek and Upshaw drilling permits expire?  Is SWN drilling anywhere in Union Parish?

Sonris indicates three wells.  SWE 27/22N/3W  Whitting Oil 28/21N/3W,  Ankor E&P 17/22N/1W

 

Yes, both permits expired 8/31/2013.  One rig running currently.  The DeSoto Drilling Rig #21 is 25 days drilling on the Hollis 27-22-3 #1, S27 - 22N - 3W, Union Parish.

New permit for Plum Creek well showed up today #247010, 9476ft

Looks like the new permit is for a vertical well, but the surface location is the same as for the original Plum Creek horizontal permit. This surface location is actually in Section 13, outside the unit, so they will probably drill a directional well to put the penetration point inside the unit, in Section 12. The plat for the original Plum Creek permit is on pg 6 of this link:
