Things are improving for us! We just turned down $8000 in 18N 15W. Seems like my cousin is right to hang in.

She was approached by a landman who got downright nasty with her and said that dealing with him was like killing a snake with a dull hoe! Anyone else in this area getting improved offers?

I'm in 18N 15W and was offered $ 6,000.00 per acre just recently. Maybe I won't be signing that paperwork after all. BTW, this is up from an offer two months ago of $ 300.00 an acre, at which point I would have gladly taken $ 1,000.00. Heck, three weeks ago I would have jumped at $ 4,000.00 per acre.
This latest offer is up from $5500 last week -- which is up from $1500 in May -- which is up from $500 in April. I believe there are a couple of wells going in in sec 6, which might explain the escalating offers.
Thanks for the heads up about the wells in section 6. I've heard from relatives that there are a number of wells in the sections 20 - 30 area also.
The wells are in section 7. I just checked the database. Permitted on July 1 by Goodrich.
The wells that you are talking about in section 7.. Do you know where these wells are, and also the wells in section 6? We have land in section 7, but it is pretty far north, close to the arkansas line. I know that there is a well in section 7 on the Missionary Plantation in Ida and have heard that its a test well, not sure which company though. Thanks for any info anyone has heard.
Is this Section 6 between Walter Jacob park and longwood on the Blanchard Furr Rd?
SONRIS showed the July 1 permitted wells in section 7, but that is near Walter Jacobs park, I believe.
Which company offered this? Chesapeake?
Please let me know.
Thanks!
It wasn't Chesapeake. I think she told me Winchester Production.

Do you know of anyone that has received any offers in section 30?
No. We really have no connections in that area other than the land we own -- so all I know about other areas is what I read on this board.
Sorry, don't know about that section.
