leasing in rayville louisiana

its been rumored a co. called whit mar development is trying to lease land in richland parish for 85. an acre  this seems low to me

Walter there is no well in either Township18 North - 8 East or 18N-9E with the name, Woodson.  I have no idea what highway to which you are referring.  Are you sure you have the correct section-township-range?

It is Hwy 583, known locally as Bee Bayou Rd.  Correct Section range and TWP.  It is about 8 miles south and 6 miles west of me.  I am in S12T19NR8E.  I will keep an eye on it.  I go by there 2-3 times a month.  I go to town only when I have to.  Rayville is 22 miles away and not far enough.  Thanks for info.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
