It seems awful quiet on this forum. The calm before the drilling storm hopefully!!!! But even if not, what's going on out there?

Roy, Devon never stopped leasing here. They just stopped making offers under the 2008 budget and then had a short lag, waiting for 2009 budget funds to be released so that they would know what they are offering now. I was told that it could be the same as 2008 (their initial offer) or it could be as low as 2500.00/acre (what EOG dropped theirs to in SA Co. back in Nov.). I was told by someone in their office that they would not be leasing small isolated tracts, going into 2009. They are looking for enough land to drill on and will be extremely selective, while money is this tight. They will continue to be quiet about what they are doing until such a time as it benefits them to make noise.
Yes, Shell is back working at the Donner. They said there was all kinds of equipment on location and pipes everywhere pumping water. Sounds like they are getting ready to frac it.
Roy, we got a letter from Southwest Oil & Gas Exploration wanting to buy our mineral rights so at least somebody found us. I was beginning to think we weren't on file at all. Maybe after the first of the year, things will pick up and someone will make an offer.
Thanks, for all the info. I will just sit back, watch and listen.
I think that is the best plan for now. I just keep thinking that if I had already gotten a big bonus, it would probably have been in the stock market and I would have lost it all. Now it goes in the mattress!! "Keep the Faith".
jffree1, checked on the Donner yet? It is flaring gas....
I have time now, so I see a road trip in my future. Are you in Sabine Parish or on this side of the river?
This side; hopefully close to the "mother lode"!!
Sandstone, Here is what I think is happening...last activity in SONRIS was 10/20 waiting for completion. There has been a shortage of frac material. It could be that they have just lately begun fracing and testing. There will be more posted when they finish and tie in to gathering system for production.
Wow, I wish I had known about this site before I signed. I hadn't had any activity since 2002 and was elated when offered $1,500 w/ 1/5 royalties... It sure isn't 5K. Patmos Prod. is the company and I'm still trying to figure all of this out. My husband died and left me this (he called it) "swamp land" in Sabine County. I'm an Alabama girl and could use any helful info (hope it's not too late).
Tilly
Tilly, Are you in Sabine County or Alabama? Either way, check in often and ask questions. The only dumb question is the one you don't ask. Someone will reply. Very few queries ever go unanswered on GoHaynesvilleShale, LOL. There is always someone with either knowledge or an educated opinion (ok, sometimes just an ordinary opinion). Welcome.

Still so quiet on here. Anybody heard anything new this year.
