Yay!
Located just north and off of Lower Centreville Road, east of County Farm Road, west of
Greensburg Road, and roughly 6 miles south of Liberty, MS, the CMR8-5 #1 could be a
Christmas 2013 or a 2014 New Year winner.
We shall see!
Good Luck, Bernell. And all MS members with an interest in the CMR 8-5H #1.
Question: Encana is offering a friend down near Gillsburg $275 per acre for 3 years, a 2 year option @ $300 per acre. Not sure on the royalty percentage. Is this about the best it's gonna get right now?
Ensign US DRLG SW Rig 751 reports 58 days drilling @ 17,752'. The rig will move to the CMR 8-5H #1 next.
I hope this depth is an old number.
From today's rig report, 10/25/2013.
What is the target depth for the Huff?
The rig report lists the TVD as 11,611'. There is no MD listed. If the permitted TVD was correct (it's never exact) then the lateral would be at ~6,141' as of the report date. Do you know the unit size/dimension?
Plat says a lateral of 7,200'.
So, 1,000' short for a well supposedly being completed over a week ago.
Interesting. Got to wonder about our sources...and I'm one who independently checked with a "source."
Oh well. They'll be moving when they move.
Thanks for posting this, Skip.
I am guessing they have a stuck bit somewhere short of the plat lateral of 7200 . They may have cut it short as a result of problems and are now trying to pull out, but having problems. Just a guess based on being told 10 days ago that they were stuck just 100 ft. short of their target depth and would be moving to the CMR at Plum Creek as soon as possible. Checked back to see rig was still there on Monday. Today? I don't live close by to go look. Maybe someone here does.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
