I am a self-proclaimed music nerd. I always thought this song was terribly ironic because John Denver had a few DUIs himself.

I have "enjoyed" listening to the other suggestions on this thread, though.

O Holy Night as sung by David Phelps (used to sing with Gaithers) is top of the list for best. i don't dwell much on worst. I'll be Home for Christmas by Elvis is my tear jerker.
