The rig was still on the location Friday when the report came out.  They could have moved since then.

Technically, I guess it was, Skip.

But, I saw the dismantled rig being hauled through town Friday and was told loads of various stuff had been arriving at the Pintard for a couple of days before this by another eyewitness.

There is no rig at the Lawson site today.

Maybe, Bernell.  When a rig  is in some phase of movement to the next well the report will often list that rig as "Assigned" to a specific location.  If the rig has arrived at that location it will often be listed as "Moving On".  Trinidad Drilling Rig #124 reported "Drilling Ahead" on Friday.  As the weekly report is compiled by humans there is always the possibility of a mistake.

There is no maybe to it, Skip.

The rig was NOT drilling ahead on Friday.  The site is right beside the highway...anyone driving by can give an eyewitness account.

There is nothing at the Lawson today.  See above.

The rig IS at the Pintard.  Again, eyewitness account.

For some reason, whether intentional or not, the Mississippi reports have been less than accurate.

I appreciate you passing them on to us, though.

Most of these rigs aren't as accessible as others and all we'll have to go on is what these guys report...but I, for one, will remain skeptical until I see the reports matching what I can see for myself to be true.

Bernell, for the umpteenth time these reports do not come from nor are they associated in any way with the state of MS or the MSOGB.  The reports are made by the head driller or the regional manager for the drilling contractor on each rig actively in service.  They have no reason to supply inaccurate information as their reports are made specifically for those companies that deliver supplies and services to the rig.  Is it possible that someone compiling the report at RigData made a mistake, sure.  However I find the report to be highly accurate over years of use.

Bernell, Encana began moving the rig to the Pintard site last Thursday.  As of yesterday afternoon, they were working on the rig.  Will probably spud Tuesday or Wednesday.

Thanks, James.

Skip,

I am not getting my information from the Mississippi Oil and Gas Board.  I wasn't the one to ask that question earlier.

I am telling you I can go to these sites and look at them.

I am not the smartest tack in the bin, but I do know when a rig is upright and when it is not.

If you do not wish me to provide accurate, first hand, eye-witness observation in response to the reports you are getting, then I won't.

I like that you are providing this information and don't wish to be an irritation to you about this.

So, just let me know if you prefer I not comment with first hand, accurate, eye-witness, up-to-date, no need to question it information or not and I'll be happy to comply with your desire.

Post what you like, Bernell.  However if you would care for me to continue to post information from rig reports that I subscribe to you  can refrain from taking posts personally.

I suppose when you said, "Maybe" to my post I did take it personally.

That is akin to calling me a liar and I do tend to be a bit offended by that sort of a response.

Again, I like the fact that you are reporting this information, so I think it is best if I don't offer updated information to your posts in the future.

Thank you for providing this information to us, Skip.

You're welcome, Bernell.

Skip why have you and everyone else dropped coverage on the Lawson 25h-1 well? the last I heard was the drilling was complete. have they started the fracking yet?
