Are there any planned wells in the town of Powhatan?

Paul, there are currently no permitted undrilled Haynesville Shale wells in Natchitoches Parish. This may change later in the year.

There have been a few posts indicating that there may be future activity near Powhatan.

Have any units been formed in or near Powhatan? If not, does anyone have any information suggesting said units will be formed sometime in the future?

FOY, both EnCana and Anadarko have filed for Haynesville Units in the area just west of Powhatan. See the attached applications for the locations of the units.

Thanks, Les. I was aware of those. I believe these units are 5-7 miles east and southeast of Powhatan, correct?

Before natgas prices tanked, there was some discussion on here about plans to drill a well right at Powhatan. I just wondered if there had been any followup information on that.

another hearing will be held in february in baton rouge one was held in shreveport on dec 12. lets hope anadarko will get a drilling permit for the well staked at allen it will be called cane river #1. the survey of the section is already complete.
