As they move into Southern Hills and Shreveport something has to give! I'm in section 10, Kingston road on the east, Manor place on the north, About 200 feet north of Williamson way on the south and a north line bording the west side of Ridgewood Jr.

Where in the world are they going to put the wells in this section?

We need to talk about this because the well locations can be big bucks!

Buck,

I'm in a neighboring section (T16, R14, S09). There is no room in S10 for a well as I see it. But, there is room in adjoining sections. S09 behind the old AT&T around the Dixie Baseball fields. Although I don't the status of that land's leases. S02 to the NE has land avail. S14 to the SE, S15 to the South and S16 to the SW all have plenty of acreage for wells.

I don't know how that affects your royalties, because I don't know about all the "unitization" of land.
Mr. Buckner - You live in the same section as my parents. I have also been trying to figure this out. If I'm not mistaken, they may be able to drill from a site somewhere in the open land south of Williamson Way to section 10. I'm not really sure about this, but I have seen some applications with attached maps that indicate units being made across section lines. I understand the information I've seen as indicating that a unit doesn't necessarily have to be a section, it's a unit of 640 acres. Will let you know more as I know more.

Anyone that can add to this please post, feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken.
I haven't heard of them buying up homes ... yet. I'm pretty confident Burgundy Oaks, Burgundy Ridge & I know for a fact from a friend that Deep Woods is already signed. Because the Section 10 line cut into that neighborhood on the south side along Williamson Way, their were neighbors coming to my parents' group wanting to join. They claimed their section was already leased. I'll check with the friends in Deep Woods and see if they know of anything getting started.

Also, seems to me I remember seeing some discussion or post on this website re. that 500 ft. from a dwelling ordinance. KB might be the best one to ask about this.
I am also in section 10. Countrywide required a map showing our residence in relation to the potential well sites. The map I received from JPD showed 2 potential sites in Section 10. Those are:

Small section on the south side of Frances between Palmetto and Kingston
Large section on the south side of Willow between Hillsboro and Kingston

Hope this helps!!
Buck, that can't be right, can it? They've got enough open land back there, they don't need to take houses yet, I wouldn't think. We need to see some maps. Thanks
The land I mentioned (Large section on the south side of Willow between Hillsboro and Kingston) is the area north of Williamson way. I'll try to figure out how to scan the map I have and upload for ya'll. JPD supplied it for our subordination paperwork but it's easy to figure out.
I'm attempting to upload a map - I color coded the main streets but the map is easy to follow.

The "For Sale" sign is now gone from the Church on the corner of Kingston and Francais. Rumor is that will be a storage site for equipment if needed. I'm just down the street from that corner on Francais and not leased.
One other thing, I just received a letter stating that they are postponing the seismic testing our area at this time due to financial constraints. The letter goes on to state that they would like to use the permission granted at a later date should things change. Don't see any drilling going on in our section for the time being but wishful thinking.
Buck - that corner of Kingston & Crabapple is Robert's auto shop. Is that the area you're referring to, or the blackened space down on the corner of Williamson & Kingston. Either corner has houses, really, and don't see how they're going to accomplish the 500 ft. distance. And thanks for providing the map & the work on it by both of you.

If I remember correctly, don't have my old notes handy, there was mention at SHGLC meetings that sect 10 boundary is slightly north of Williamson, and some lots were caught in sect 9 between the sect 10 boundary and Williamson.

You want a link to SHGLC blog site to go back and look at what they discussed? Seems I remember them reporting that the sect 9 owneres that wanted to join them couldn't, but I don't remember why not.
Buck - I just checked with family, their draft paid this week and they too got some kind of letter re. seismic but didn't have a map. Maybe that was Ronda's own map? Anyway, I'm not sure exactly what the letter says, will have to take a look maybe this weekend when I'm up that way.

Have a great evening - sesport
Maybe they will just buy your house and put it in your front yard? :)
