I'd tell them to blow their $750/acre out their &^!@ but that's just me.
Let's see.............with big bucks like that you can fill up your vehicles with gas and blow the rest at Brookshires!
Tell them to keep their paltry offer.
Super 1 Maw, that's where the good discounts are.

Fierofly: You can do better than that.
I should have sent him to Sam's. He can buy meat, toilet paper and motor oil in bulk!
They have been very active in this area for some time. Try to get more bonus, but keep in mind they have much of this area already leased and may be willing to just force pool your 3/4 ac.
Is force pooling a good idea in this case?
Rumor has it that 3/4 of this section is leased at 3/16 share, $300ac many years ago and runs out at the end of FEB.
??????????????
Just got off the phone talking to a landman from Twin Cities / CHC.
my section T18 R14 05 is 80% leased and they getting ready to drill.

He said the wells in this area are producing around 12 mcf per day... and they would like to sign me up at a whopping $1500 per acre with 25% royalty or {get this] $2000 an acre with 22 1/2 % royalty.....
so i told him ...keep your change and we will ride this boy down together!.
Have fun, personally I'd take the 25% deal....
Good for you. He is telling the same thing to those in T18 R15 S11, and there is no way that it is 80% leased. We have well over 200 acres in our association that are unleased. That particular Twin Cities landman is notorious for strettttttttttttttttttttttttttchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhiingggggggggg the truth. One day he is going to tell that lie to the wrong person and then there will be a job opening for an unemployed landman. Nope, I'm not threatening anything. I don't roll that way but I know lots of people that are fed up with all of the lies that are being bandied about and I wouldn't put anything past them.
I got the same offer and when I asked term of lease it was 5 years with a 5 year option. I said I would lease for 3 years with a 2 year options but not 5+5.
