So I'm coming over from Dallas for the meeting. Any good casual spots for a Etouffee and/or Gumbo lunch?????? I'm desperate. Thanks.

I guess it would depend on whether you were taking a client out to lunch.
Herby K's off Texas St., Shanes off of Youree Drive (Gumbo)
Gumbo's to Geaux has great gumbo, fried catfish, etc. and you don't have to be dressed up to go there. My favorite is Blind Tiger in Shreveport, great gumbo, fried shrimp out of this world and the Blind Tiger Special drink is delicious. I would go to Ralph and Kacoos before Don's Seafood, I've ate Ralph and Kakoos about 4 times in the last 2 months and have taken a guest there and they love it. But don't forget the strawberry or chocolate pie at Strawns (across the street from Centenary College).
Off the subject of Cajun, but I took a Strawns coconut pie to an aunt in Ark. and she kept hiding it from everyone.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
