Attached are graphs showing historic gas production for the Shreveport District (NWLA) and several of the parishes. The Shreveport District production rate has reached almost 2 Bcfd and has increased 82% in the last five years. Bossier (459 MMcfd) and De Soto (403 MMcfd) now rank #1 & #2 in the state. The effect of the Haynesville Shale production is beginning to show in several parishes.

Les. I especially like Red River. Now that's the kind of graph that every HS parish ought to have. Congratulations to all the land/mineral owners who are benefiting from the expanding HS production. Good post Les. Thanks.
Skip, I would have never guessed a year ago that RRP would have that much gas production.
Les. No one else that I know would have either. The interesting projection should be, what will be the RR production one year from now? And two? And five? It is easy for many members to forget that we are in the very early stages of this play. And Keith and Anna's baby will be among the first born during this play who will grow to maturity and have their own families, if not grandchildren, before it has run it's course. Cue Jack Blake. "LONG LIVE THE HAYNESVILLE SHALE!"
Les,
Thanks for this great info.
I think in the not too distant future you will see Bienville Parish increase dramatically, followed by Natchitoches Parish increasing down the road, although it will probably be a while..

Thanks again for a great post.
Les,

Thanks for posting. I don't know how long ago, but I recall hearing that at one time RR was the poorest Parish in Louisiana. I'm glad that's not the case any longer. Can you just imagine how that area will be transformed. Actually how our whole community will be transformed. It is surely going to be an exciting time.
LONG LIVE THE HAYNESVILLE SHALE GAS FACTORY.
Parker, the attached story was from a few months ago.

Thanks Les,

It's beautiful country down there. Grand Bayou is one of our favorite spots in the Summer. Lots of wonderful people too.
Parker,
Thanks for the compliments on our neck of the woods. RRP is a good place to live (even better now with some wells!).
When we say "we're going to the beach" we're talking about Grand Bayou. Who needs to trek all the way to the Gulf. Grand Bayou has sand and water. It is a beautiful lake, who needs waves?
As always, Les, 1,000,000 thanks. Just wish Claiborne & Natch parishes had something to look forward to, also.
