Chesapeake Energy Corporation
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Chesapeake Energy says it is planning to cut production by about 13 percent as a result of low natural gas prices.
The Oklahoma City-based energy company announced Thursday it will curtail about 400 million cubic feet per day of its gross natural gas production due to continued low wellhead prices.

That amount represents about 13 percent of Chesapeake's current natural gas production capacity.

Most of the wells that have been cut back are located in the Mid-Continent region in Oklahoma and the Barnett Shale region in northern Texas.

The company also says it plans to resume about 7,000 barrels per day of oil production from previously curtailed oil wells.
This will help get the Natural Gas price up to a level drilling could start back

Tom, what do you know about ETOCO well in T23 R14 S20? Serial #238870 (producing 353 bpd?). Isn't this close to the Cements Heirs well? Also isn't this oil and a big producer. Did I read this wrong? tia
Scout, I saw this well in March when I was up looking at the Clements well. This is the same depth as the Clements is prodocing the Haynesville from. The confusing thing here is everyone says the Haynesville is only gas. Now to confuse things more there has been talk about a transition of the shale in the Haynesville. If this is so wonder what it would produce horizontaly drilled and perforated?
ETOCO is the same company that drilled Clements. This well is very close to that well. Below is one line of the drilling report on the Clements, the well 238870 Domonick well is 11,100' deep.

By the way Scout you read the report correct, and it is producing some gas also, but very little compared to the oil.

Thanks, Tom.
