Section 27 that is owned by Louisiana State? eg...part of Eagle Nest

Can you believe that the State of Louisiana is stating that they own the mineral rights to part of section 27? What are everyones thoughts on this? I am mad myself! What about a petition?

The government owns the mineral rights to a great deal of property. Any property sold to satisfy tax liens or adjudicated property for that matter will have the mineral rights reserved for the local, parish, or state, whatever. Redeemed property by the original owner is the only way they can't get the rights. Here's another kicker, I was reading something about the government taking over land in need of drainage or some kind of flooding issues with the land. Okay they do give it back to it's rightful owner(s) but not with the mineral rights. Lake Bistineau was ordered to be drained for some reason once a year for 3 years I believe. Not really sure about this but it could be worth looking in to.
The beds and bottoms of Red River are owned by the State of Louisiana. If the river changed course, the State would also claim the old bed of the river (for minerals). If the river changes course, the State gains mineral interest. This is known as the Freeze Statute.
The freeze statute only applies to areas that are HBP. Old water bottoms would prescribe to the surface owner.
I DON'T BELIEVE THIS PERTAINS TO OUR SECTION.
MR FREYOU GAVE US ANOTHER ANSWER 1921 LITIGATION, READ MY EARLIER EMAIL...SO NOW WHAT DO WE DO?
you need to view the patent for the lands in this section. It is not unusual to see a mineral reservation in the patent. These rights do not prescribe.
How do you view the patent?
WELL, IF MR FREYOU WILL EMAIL ME THE LITIGATION CASE NUMBER TO THE 1921 LAW, ARE WHAT EVER HIS EXCUSE IS (REFER BACK TO MY EMAIL WITH HIS REPLY) THEN MAYBE I CAN SEE WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT, I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS! HA ! I BET WE NEVER SEE THAT........ THERE ARE TOO MANY POLITICIANS INVOLVED PROTECTING THIS SECTION! BUT I CAN TELL YOU WHEN I BOUGHT MY PROPERTY LIKE MANY OTHER FOLKS I WAS GIVEN ALL MINERAL RIGHTS. IT IS FUNNY HOW ALL THESE TITLE SEARCH COMPANIES HAD NO IDEA OF THIS. SO THAT MEANS THE STATE MUST HAVE JUMP ON THIS LONG BEFORE WE KNEW ABOUT THE HAYNESVILLE SHALE.. HMMMMMM
WELL, JUST HOW DO YOU VEIW THE PATENT?
Penny,
Here's what we were given by a landman friend. We have shared this with some of your neighbors. Good luck!

THANKS , I APPRECIATE THIS VERY MUCH.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
Is there anybody out there that can get a copy of Act 202 of 1924? If so, can you post it here?

Thanks!
