Sonris says this has been waiting on pipeline since Dec 2008. Anyone seen any sign of the pipeline progress?
Any news on pipelines in this area in general?
Any idea if this is for a pipeline from the well or a regional pipeline to the area in general or both?

We own 80 acres immediately South of Harris, but its not in the unit.
We granted a ROW for the pipeline in 12/08, and have heard nothing since.
Possibly they are waiting for the price to go up.
Across the road to the East of Harris is the old Standard Oil Oxford compressor station, which my Grandfather ran 70+ years ago, so the area is of special interest. It will be nice to get Harris running, I hear its a good well.
The maps show some other permitted wells in the immediate area but I have no info.
Thank you.
Watching anything around sec 31, to the south of sec 19.
Trying to stay abreast of what's going on around us.
I figure if they get a pipe to Harris, then when and if our sect ever gets drilled, the pipe infrastructure will at least be nearby.
July. That is the latest word. They had to "treat" the gas. Supposed to be a decent well.
Crunchy, that is consistent with previous information that indicates gas produced from the southern portion of the play contain higher levels of CO2 & H2S and would require some treating to make compliant with pipeline gas sales specifications.
Very interesting. Good to know.

Does this mean that if my section is south of sect 19, it in all likelihood needs 'treating' too?

Does this mean, when and if we ever get a royalty check and the gas has to be treated, and we have a no cost lease, we would have to pay our share of treatment costs?

Is all south DeSoto (south of where?) in need of treatment?
Good question. Any answers??
VSC, I am not sure the exact location of the boundary between the treating and non-treating areas but expect gas produced in Sabine and Natchitoches Parishes to be in the treating category. I don't mean to upset anyone with that opinion and we definitely need more information. Pipeline specifications for H2S are typically 4 ppm (parts per million) or 0.25 grain per 100 scf.

Treatment cost should not be chargeable under a no cost lease but others have more expertise in that area.
Les B,
Would you know (approximately) what the charge would be to the landowner for treatment of the gas to remove H2S?
Msfa, unfortunately I don't have a good number for a typical charge and it really varies based on the H2S content. It is an expensive operation so could be 10 - 20 cents per Mscf.
the harris well is shut in because of h2s gas the pipe line is already laid . flint is laying a 4 inch pipe line from the Quinn well to tie in at the harris.
So, is this well still shut-in waiting on pipeline? No news lately.
About 10/20 I contacted ENCANA on another matter, but I also asked about Harris 19.
Reply was a brief "Not in production".
