Bird Dawg,
I am not here to challenge anyone on this site. I meant no disrespect to you when I said you could turn your computer off. It still remains the same.

As I stated I am not a professional anything related to the Oil and Gas Exploration that is going on in Texas/Louisiana. All I am is a landowner. Just trying to understand everything before we sign a lease. I have learned alot on this site...along with other sites.

As to your point about wasting time scrolling down certain posts...that is just how this website has changed since the begining of last year. I agree with you that many things are posted in every discussion on this site that really doesn't pertain to the Haynesville Shale. I also say now that I don't know where the shale starts and where it ends. I'll never know. I don't have that information at the tips of my fingers...if you know...please...inform all of us.

The name of this site is "GoHaynesvilleShale.com" and believe me when I say this...not everything posted on this site is about shale activity in the Haynesville formation. It is what it is. Deal with it.

As to the Louisiana Mineral Map being posted 20 or more times...I agree with you on the number of times it has been posted...maybe over kill. But I know about it now and before I didn't know about it. But again...not everything posted on this site I want to read and scroll through 10-20 times. It's just what we have to do these days.

As to posting information in the wrong area...I apologize if I have ever done that but I wouldn't know right from wrong if I did do that. So I am going to apologize now just in case I did that to you. I am sorry.

FYI....you posted twice that you would turn your computer off when your good and ready. Excuse me now while I scroll through that nonsense and move on to another discussion. LOL - No hard feelings. Just trying to learn what I can.

I feel the same way Bird Dawg, if Graysands wants to fantasize about some non-existent bossier shale play then that is his business. But just like you alluded to a newcomer may become confused and or given false hopes. Is there a Bossier shale on those logs, yes, is it gas charged enough to economical, no. Posts like that only muddy the waters of what has become a pretty clearly defined play, especially to the north and east.
Jaybird,
If it is nonsense why did you tell me to?

Lets just get on about our business.
Sounds good to me...hope I didn't upset anyone. No offense intended.

Jaybird
Checkmateking,

You said that the Bossier Shale on those 2 logs above are not gas charged enough to economical...Is that considered the Haynesville Shale too and are you saying that the Haynesville Shale is not gas charged enough as well in that paticular area?

Just trying to understand the logs that were posted.

Thanks in advance,

Jaybird
The Haynesville on those logs is Haynesville Sand, not Haynesville Shale. There have been some great Haynesville Sand wells and there always will be. But it's nothing like the core Haynesville Shale where you can go nearly anywhere and hit a 10-25 million foot a day well. Even where there is Haynesville Shale-like in the Pine Island field that doesn't mean it is porous enough and has the other geological qualities to be economical. It looks like the core Haynesville SHALE is below township 18 north and west of 8-9 west at this time. It is really quite easy to figure out-look where the big boys are leasing and drilling horizontal wells, that is where the Shale is.
Thank you for your answer. If it's Haynesville Sand it's Haynesville Sand. It doesn't bother me at all what they call it as long as the operator can produce $$$ from it.

Thanks again,

Jaybird
Jaybird,
And there has been many dollars produced from the Haynesville Sand.
My point exactly. Just be glad for what you have.

I wish you the best of luck, and I think you will have plenty.
I appreciate the response BirdDawg. Have a great day.

Jaybird
Just wait till gas jumps back up , and it will, they will come and drill in alot of these fields.
