when you lease and they get gas i know you paid for that but if that well produce 10 barrels of oil a day also do you get royalties from that to or is that somthing that needs to be put in a lease? are there other minrals that landowners should know about that could be produce that needs to be put in a lease?

i dont have one as of yet but my queston is are they different and do you (the land owner) need to have this put in a lease for each mineral that comes from your land? is this somthing i need to be concerned about when signing a lease?

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
