Hi Jennifer,

I am in same area, please reply with comment and we can trade info.
Not a word as of yet
Shawn, you've done nothing but disapoint since your first post. lets get this out in the open.
1. The offer you supposedly got was for 15k not 17k.
2. Its not for our area(BENTON OFFERS??? DRILLING SITES????) hellooooo
3. You want a cut. Lets do some simple math here. 5000(acres) times 20000dollars equals 100 million dollars. you want a peddly 1%. THATS A MILLION DOLLARS SHAWN!! Your "leg work" is not worth that my friend. Im starting to think your an undercover landman shawn, folks beware.....
Totally agree with you Sue, also, its not a 30% royalty either, its 25% like the other 99% of the state is. I have relatives living in the area of the supposed offer, so this is the real truth.
I agree 100% Sue. I have been trying, since I discovered the misleading information published by Shawn Jeardoe and Shawn Allen, to beware of this scam. You can find out everything needed by calling a Chesapeake, Petrohawk, Hillwood, etc. landman. Make sure they represent the company directly. A group can be an efficient tool if used correctly. Groups formed in desired locations can work together in order to obtain top dollar. Groups like Shawns will be costly. I urge people to seek a professional when questioning a gas lease. Not the advice of amatuers.
How expedited the flogging stones get cast. First off, I did apologize for my mistake. I am human and I've corrected that mistake. Second, I will swear to god I'm not some land man. I'm an E-6 select in the USAF with almost 12 yrs. I'm a single dad with 5 acres in Benton. Third, I'm not getting the 1%, I would only get a small piece of that but only for acres that I bring to the group. This is not my profession. I am doing this to help us all. Please do some research on other local area groups. Many of those groups' leaders are getting 3-5%. I'm a tough bird and will continue to keep a professional attitude and work hard at what I'm doing.
Shawn Allen has some new info that is very postive for the entire group. I've been asked not to post it here. However, he will be more than happy to inform you of that info on the phone or by email. Please have a wonderful day.
Sorry Shawn, didnt mean to get your feathers in a ruffle, just wanted to make sure that we all dont start getting to excited about the royalty thing. I on the other hand would love to see it go to 30%, well......., actually I am greedy, heck lets just say more than that. Anyways, I am glad to see someone here trying to help out, just as I am, in correcting something, no big thing. Oh, and you do the same with that wonderful day thing.
I think the mistake was made to attract people to the Shawn group. How can you let something that important be a mistake!?
The saying goes "You get what you pay for". What advantage will one have by being in your group? Your not using the entire group as leverage. Your just passing property descriptions to landmen with Twin Cities, Red River, and Petrohawk. They then pick out the desired locations and tell you a per acre bonus plus royalty. Anyone with property can do this in about 5 minutes. Maybe you should stick with your trade.
I have no affiliation with the "Shawn Group," but I do have an affiliation with Shawn (the guy posting on this board). I am a fellow military man that works closely with Shawn. He is a man of integrity and hard work. While it is easy to say, "All I have to do is pick up a phone..." It is not easy to coordinate the collective effort to gain acreage, appease the masses, finalize lease addendums that are land owner friendly, and work your REAL job.

BMP, I can understand your skepticism. But understand that there is strength in groups (every media outlet, landman, gas company, government official will say the same). You will not get the same offer negotiating by yourself, as you would with a group with significant portions of acreage in each section. I strongly suggest you find a way to meet Shawn, find out the real story, and work to contribute to the health of your group. It will only benefit you in the end.

As for me, I am in Golden Meadows. I have my own group (South Bossier Haynesville Shale Coalition) and we are making headway. We have been starting up for almost a month, and STILL have a TON of work to do before we are ready to approach any companies (and no, I am not in a leadership position, just a land owner).

I have no stake in what you folks have going on, except to say that Shawn is a stand up guy and deserves a fair shake. If you want to know more, he is willing to talk to you folks. Now, quit your witchcraft and git er done. Help out!
