Does anyone know what the going rate for 3-D seismic work in the Haynsville Shale area is going for? I was offered $25/acre but that doesn't seem to compensate for the damage to the property I hear is done.

I wonder what constitutes "trespass?"

If it's not posted, and they just come in without asking, run cables, and nobody notices, is it criminal trespass? Burying a sensor? Vibratory truck? Blasting? Where do they cross the line into an actual crime?

Of course, if you see them and order them off your land, they probably have to leave, but have they committed a crime before they're told?

In Texas, it's trespassing if the land is fenced, posted, or cultivated, or if they are told not to enter. What constitutes trespassing in Louisiana?
Mac, Texas trespass is much more restrictive.
