They will move a rig on site and everyone in the area will know it, then maybe two months of drilling etc. Please let us know when they move the rig on site. This well could be very important to all of south Sabine. At least that's my humble opinion. Google Austin Chalk then click on Map of Austin Chalk Play. I drove by this morning. The drilling rig has arrived and is being set up.

Drove to the rig today they are already drilling! It is a big tripple rig the name of the drilling co. is Saxon drilling #123.

Mark J, last data from Sonris - well is drilling at 5989' (Ser #238113).

Just as a reminder, this is a horizontal Austin Chalk well rather than Haynesville Shale.

It looked like they were in the process of tripping pipe yesterday or were in the process of putting the pipe back in. Today most of the pipe is off the tower. Don't know if they were just changing a drilling bit or something else.

This is the latest news reported on the Donner:

10/16 production report for Donner etal #1:
TD 10-9-08; RAN 4 1/2 FROM 6108-9489'--4 PRODUCTION PACKERS

This was explained like this:

"They ran 4.5 in casing from 6108 to 9489. This means they probably have 5.5 in. casing down to about 6200'. They hang the 4.5 in. from the 5.5 in. The 4 production packers are screwed in between the joints of 4.5 in casing at the intervals they have identified from the logs they ran before running the casing. This means that there are probably 4 zones they want to test. They will set the packers and perforate between them and test one zone and then plug that zone off and test the next. Then they have the choice of pulling the 4.5 casing and packers out and re-running just the 4.5 and cement it in place or they may cement packer and casing in place."
