Sec. 26-16N-14W well pad is located at the end of Newson Rd. Well serial # 239734. Looking at the Scout Info. on this well it appears to me that it will be (hopefully) a horizontal well. I have noted all of the input about Camterra and their lack of experience with horizonals but I have a few questions. 1. Am I reading the scout report correctly. 2. Is this Camterra's first horizonal. 3. Who does the drilling for Camterra and what kind of horizonal experience do they have. They finished the pad this week, don't know when they will start bringing in equipment to drill. Thanks for any replies.

Looks like a horizontal to me. Keep an eye on the Drilling Rigs forum for what rig shows up.
Thanks, it looked like a horizontal to me, but Camterra's wells in sec 25, 27 and 36 were all vertical and were not very good wells at all. When I saw that they were going to drill a horizontal in my section, well , I guess I was just shocked and surprised. Thanks again for your replies

Not sure if the other wells you're referring to were drilled to Haynesville depths, but if they were, vertical HS wells are poor producers from what I've read. The key is the long frac in the shale. I believe some companies were dropping verticals to to keep leases HBP.
JJ, Camterra has already drilled the following three horizontal wells - two with fairly good initial test rates.

Camterra, Jenkins 3 #1 Well, Serial #239603, S3-T15N-R14W
Camterra, Dalton 10 #1 Well, Serial #238848, S10-T15N-R14W, DeSoto Parish, 12000 Mcfd
Camterra, Hall 9 #1 Well, Serial #237524, S9-T15N-R14W, DeSoto Parish, 13700 Mcfd
They have been moving in the rig and all of everything it takes to set up all day today (monday). The movers said the rig was coming from the Missile Base Rd. site. The sign on the road says Saxon 123 will do the drilling. I will hope for the best. Thanks for y'alls input.
