Attached are a set of graphs that show historical natural gas production thru June for the US and several key regions. Total US production in June was 63.3 Bcfd which was a 0.5% increase from May and up 0.7% from June 2008. Overall gas production in the US continues to be relatively flat and is not yet exhibiting any significant effects from the decreased rig count. While some areas (Texas, New Mexico) are declining in production, this is being offset by growth in other regions.

Louisiana gas production continues to increase and was 4.2 Bcfd in June which is 8.5% higher than June 2008.

I'm guessing that this isn't a good thing with regards to stopping the price decline and/or helping a price increase.
Logan, I would concur with your observation.
I certainly don't know as much as I wish I did so I kinda have to trust the trends, graphs, and professional opinions that I hear/read. The Tudor/Pickering report sounded great. I looked over their past research and it was quite extensive. So, hopefully they know what they're doing bc the current supply and demand doesn't show a positive trend at all.
question, Since nat gas is consumed nationally for the most part, what is the US consumption level of nat gas compared to national production?
Robert, from 2008 information:

Production - 61.7 Bcfd
Dry Production - 56.2 Bcfd (after removal of CO2, N2 & NGLs)
Net Imports - 8.1 Bcfd
Total Consumption - 63.5 Bcfd
Lease/Plant/Pipeline Fuel - 5.2 Bcfd
Delivered to Consumers - 58.3 Bcfd
thanks.
